Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure warming blankets for GJ Crookes Hospital to ensure adequate warming of patients, particularly pediatric patients, in accordance with specified standards and requirements.

The scope includes the supply of warming blankets categorized as goods, with detailed specifications for different types (e.g., under body, adult full body). The procurement covers a quantity of 20 units, with delivery to GJ Crookes Hospital, and involves compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and procurement policies. The process encompasses submission, evaluation, and acceptance of quotations, including samples and technical compliance.

Technical Requirements

• Warming blankets must measure approximately 36x33 inches (91x84 cm) for pediatric use, and 213x93 cm for full-body adult blankets.
• Models 675 and 775, 3M, with features such as soft, radiolucent, latex-free materials.
• Fluid minimising outlets and resealable hose ports.
• Construction from lightweight, soft, latex-free material, suitable for single-use, disposable applications.
• Compliance with specified standards, including British Standards and SANAS/SABS specifications.
• Samples are required for evaluation prior to final approval.
• Delivery period should not exceed 4 weeks from order confirmation.
• Pricing must include VAT if applicable, and total quotation must be valid for 90 days.
