Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure paper sterilization items, including flat reels, bags, and crepe paper, for use at Newcastle Regional Hospital. The aim is to ensure the supply of quality sterilization materials that meet specified standards to support patient care and hospital sterilization processes.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of various paper sterilization items as detailed in the specifications, including:

• Paper sterilization flat reels in different sizes (e.g., 150mm x 200m, 200mm x 200m, 250mm x 200m)
• Paper sterilization crepe greens (e.g., 900mm x 1300mm, 900mm x 1300mm)
• Paper sterilization bags (e.g., 190mm x 60mm x 320mm)

The procurement covers a once-off purchase, with delivery to Newcastle Regional Hospital stores, adhering to the specified standards and quality requirements.

Technical Requirements

The items must conform to the following technical standards:

• Comply with SABS & SANS standards and be approved accordingly.
• Meet detailed specifications including size, material, and quality as specified in the annexure forms.
• Be new, unused, and of the most recent models with all recent design improvements.
• Be properly packed to prevent damage during transit and storage.
• Include necessary documentation such as invoices, delivery notes, and compliance certificates.

Samples are generally not required unless specified, and all items must be delivered within the agreed timeframe, with proper packaging and documentation.
