Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the service of laundry equipment, including the maintenance and servicing of specified laundry machinery at Rietvlei Hospital. The aim is to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of laundry equipment to support hospital operations.

Scope

The scope of the contract includes:

• Service and maintenance of 3 washing machines (model LS-332PM-15)
• Service of 3 dryers (Speed Queen model ST 075 EREM 1G21/18201)
• Service of 2 compressors (code: 49010341)
• Service of 1 presser iron (model: AS4VLE)
• Service of roller iron (model: PB3221-E)

The work involves supplying all necessary materials, labor, and ensuring the equipment is left in a serviceable condition, compliant with relevant standards, and within the specified contract period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Adherence to the detailed specifications provided in Annexure A, including compliance with size, color, material, and quality standards.
• Provision of samples if required, and full completion and signing of the specification form.
• Compliance with health and safety standards, including the submission of a health and safety plan and certificate of compliance for electrical installations.
• Work to be carried out on-site at Rietvlei District Hospital with minimal disruption, ensuring damage to existing structures is repaired at the contractor’s expense.
• Guarantee period of a minimum of three (6) calendar months from the date of first delivery for all materials and work.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Technical expertise in servicing laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, compressors, irons, and related machinery.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards applicable to electrical and mechanical servicing in a hospital environment.
• Ability to complete detailed documentation, including specification forms, certificates of compliance, and progress reports.
• Capacity to provide qualified personnel with experience in hospital equipment maintenance and servicing.
• Proficiency in adhering to contractual timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards as specified in the tender documentation.
