Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure comprehensive major and minor refrigeration services for Hlabisa Hospital. This includes ensuring that refrigeration equipment is properly maintained through scheduled servicing, gas checks, cleaning, and repairs to maintain hospital operations effectively.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of both minor and major refrigeration services, including gas checks, coil cleaning, pressure switch and thermostat checks, and door rubber and handle inspections.
• Performing gas top-ups and leak repairs during major services.
• Servicing various refrigeration equipment such as mortuary containers, body cabinets, cold rooms, freezers, and pharmacy cold rooms.
• Adhering to scheduled service intervals: minor service initially, followed by a major service after six months.
• Reporting and submitting relevant documentation post-service, including service reports, signed job cards, and tax invoices.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Valid CIDB 1 ME contractor registration.
• Registration with the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Letter of good standing and certificates for handling dangerous gases (SAQCC) and SARACCA registration.
• Compliance with specifications related to refrigeration service standards, including gas checks, coil cleaning, and component inspections.
• Provision of detailed reports, signed job cards, and original tax invoices upon completion.
• Adherence to safety and quality standards as approved by the end-user and SCM representatives.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Technical expertise in refrigeration maintenance, gas handling, and repair.
• Certified CIDB 1 ME contractor qualification.
• Knowledge of hospital refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Ability to perform gas leak detection, coil cleaning, and component testing.
• Competence in preparing detailed service reports and documentation.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations, including handling of dangerous gases and equipment.
