Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver Dust Handling Plant (DHP) drives spares at Matimba Power Station for a period of 60 months on an as-and-when-required basis. The aim is to ensure the availability of essential spares to maintain continuous plant operation and optimize maintenance activities over the contract period.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of Dust Handling Plant drives spares at Matimba Power Station.
• Provision of spares on an as-and-when-required basis over a period of 60 months.
• Adherence to technical, quality, safety, environmental, and contractual requirements as specified in the tender documents.
• Compliance with local content and import content declarations where applicable.
• Provision of necessary contractual and quality management documentation, including quality plans, safety plans, and certifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of dust handling plant drives spares compatible with existing equipment at Matimba Power Station.
• Compliance with Eskom’s technical specifications and standards, including ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.
• Submission of detailed technical evaluation criteria, including proof of technical capability, quality management, and past experience.
• Provision of safety, health, and environmental management plans, including risk assessments, OHS policies, and environmental policies.
• Provision of cataloguing, inspection, and testing plans, including ITPs and QCPs.
• Compliance with local content and import content declarations, with supporting documentation.
• Adherence to contract-specific technical evaluation and functionality scoring thresholds.

Skills and Skills Requirements

The skills and expertise required from tenderers include:

• Technical proficiency in the supply of drives spares for dust handling plants, with relevant experience and past project references.
• Quality management skills, including ISO 9001 compliance and ability to provide documented quality assurance evidence.
• Health and safety expertise, including development and implementation of OHS plans, risk assessments, and safety policies.
• Environmental management skills, including environmental policy adherence and aspects and impacts assessments.
• Capability to prepare and submit detailed technical documentation such as ITPs, QCPs, and contract quality plans.
• Knowledge of local content and import content declaration processes, with ability to provide supporting evidence.
• Financial and contractual management skills, including compliance with contractual obligations, security provisions, and pricing strategies.
• Experience in working with Eskom or similar large-scale power generation entities, demonstrating reliability and technical competence.
