Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver building tools to the Cofimvaba Depot in accordance with the specified requirements for the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, Chris Hani District. The project aims to ensure the provision of quality tools within a defined timeframe to support departmental operations.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply and delivery of building tools as per the detailed specifications provided by the Department.
• Delivery address: Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, Komani.
• Completion of supply and delivery within one (1) week after signing the contract and receipt of purchase order.
• Provision of tools and materials listed in the pricing schedule, including tools such as petrol generators, diagnose tools, cordless jig saws, circular saws, and spanners.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Tools must meet the specifications outlined in the bid documentation, with an emphasis on quality and compliance.
• Tools should be new, unused, and incorporate recent design and material improvements unless otherwise specified.
• Items should be equivalent or better than the specified brands or models, with prior approval from the department if specifications are not met.
• All tools must be properly packaged for transport, with documentation and marking in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Tools must be delivered within the stipulated delivery period, with adherence to quality standards and specifications.

Skills and Competency Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Legal entity status, partnership, joint venture, or consortium with capacity to supply the required tools.
• Compliance with tax obligations and registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Experience in supplying building tools or similar equipment, with proof of previous successful deliveries.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards specified in the bid documentation.
• Capacity to deliver within the specified timeframe and handle logistics efficiently.
• Understanding of procurement policies, including adherence to PPPFA and PPR 2022 regulations.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as valid tax compliance certificates, company resolutions, and declarations of interest.
