Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the partitioning of the Human Resources (HR) Department at Richmond Hospital. The project involves constructing workstations, renovating existing office spaces, installing necessary fixtures and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Construction of four workstations for HR officers, including panels, desks, cable trunking, power and network points, and office chairs.
• Reconfiguration of the former HR files archive office, including demolition, painting, and installation of shelves and a strong-room door.
• Installation of a kitchenette with built-in cupboards, countertops, sinks, and associated fixtures.
• Renovation of the HR supervisor's office, including painting, installing air conditioning units, and replacing vinyl tiles.
• Adherence to technical specifications, safety protocols, waste management, and infection control requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Use of fiber-cement boards for workstation panels, with panels measuring 90mm thickness and covered with aluminum profiles.
• Painting all panels and walls with specified cream color paints (e.g., #ffff39).
• Construction of built-in desks with melamine surfaces, wire management, and drawers.
• Installation of cable trunking (165 x 55mm, 8m length, 3 compartments) with power sockets and network points.
• Replacement of cracked vinyl tiles and installation of LED lighting (24W and 6W units).
• Construction of built-in cupboards, countertops with granite, and installation of sinks with water supply connections.
• Provision of air conditioning units (12,000 BTU and 24,000 BTU split-phase systems).
• Compliance with South African standards, electrical wiring, safety, and infection control protocols.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in constructing office partitions, cabinetry, and office renovations.
• Proficiency in electrical and plumbing installations, including wiring, socket, and sink connections.
• Ability to adhere to technical specifications, safety standards, and infection control measures.
• Capacity to manage waste disposal and site safety, including producing safety files and waste management permits.
• Provision of qualified personnel, such as carpenters, electricians, and painters, with relevant certifications and CIDB registration (minimum GB1 for similar works).
• Ability to coordinate site inspections, meet deadlines, and deliver quality workmanship as per project specifications.
