Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of fire fighting uniforms and related equipment for fire personnel of the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality over a period of three years. The aim is to ensure that fire personnel are equipped with standardized, high-quality protective clothing and accessories to perform their duties effectively and safely.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of various fire fighting uniforms, including:

• White long sleeve shirts
• Black trousers
• Black polyester/wool ladies skirts
• Fire fighting shoes (Parabellum and Half Boots)
• White short sleeve shirts
• Charcoal grey T-shirts with logos
• BioGard socks
• Navy combat trousers and shirts
• Raincoats with logos
• Identification shields
• Jackets, caps, gloves, beanies, and other accessories

The delivery period covers three years, with specified quantities and technical specifications for each item.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the uniforms and accessories include:

• Shirts: Made from specified materials (e.g., 65% polyester/35% cotton for long sleeve shirts, 100% cotton for short sleeve shirts), with detailed design features such as patch pockets, pleats, button arrangements, collar types, and permanent creases.
• Pants and Skirts: Designed with specific fabric blends, pleat styles, waistband features, and pocket configurations.
• Footwear: Genuine leather uppers with stitched soles for Parabellum shoes; rubber soles, steel toes, and water-resistant features for boots.
• Jackets and Raincoats: Quilted, waterproof, with reflective tapes, logos, and specific pocket designs.
• Accessories: Belts with logos, epaulettes, badges, gloves, caps, and other items must meet specified standards, including durability, safety, and branding requirements.
• Logos and Embroidery: High-quality embroidery and screen printing as per specifications, including logos, badges, and reflective tapes.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

The tender stipulates that bidders must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in supplying and manufacturing fire fighting uniforms and related gear.
• Compliance with technical specifications and quality standards outlined in the tender documents.
• Ability to provide samples for evaluation, with timely submission as per the evaluation process.
