Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to facilitate disc cutter training for PRASA KZN region. The training aims to ensure that learners acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills to operate disc cutters safely and correctly, in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications. The service provider must deliver training that enables learners to perform testing and operating procedures safely and in compliance with relevant standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes providing disc cutter training over a period of 36 months, with training sessions lasting between 2 to 5 days at Durban Station. The training must cover both theoretical knowledge and practical skills modules aligned with permanent way specifications. The service provider must be accredited and submit a competency certificate upon successful completion. The training will be conducted as and when required throughout the contract duration, with the service provider expected to deliver training at the specified venue and meet the outlined competency standards.

Technical Requirements

• The service provider must be accredited and capable of delivering training that complies with company and manufacturer specifications.
• Training duration: 2-5 days per session, at Durban Station.
• Participants must receive a company/manufacturer's competency certificate upon successful completion.
• The training must include compulsory knowledge and practical skill modules related to disc cutter operation, testing procedures, and safety standards.
• The provider must ensure that all training content adheres to permanent way specifications and safety procedures.
• The provider must submit a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) detailing the costs for each year of service (Year 1, Year 2, Year 3) and include unit prices, VAT, and total amounts.

• Proven accreditation and competency in delivering technical training on disc cutters.
