Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit formal written quotations from qualified service providers for the rental and refill of medical oxygen cylinders and CO2 cylinders. The aim is to ensure a reliable supply of these medical gases to the Mossel Bay Municipality for the period from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, supporting emergency, rescue, disaster management, and community safety operations.

• Provision of rental services for medical oxygen and CO2 cylinders.
• Refilling of the cylinders as per the municipality's requirements.
• Delivery and collection of cylinders within specified timeframes.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Provision of medical oxygen cylinders and CO2 cylinders suitable for medical and emergency use.
• Delivery of cylinders within 8 hours of order placement.
• Refilling of cylinders to meet the municipality’s demand for the specified period.
• Compliance with safety standards for handling, storage, and transportation of medical gases.
• Proper documentation and certification for the cylinders supplied and refilled.
• Adherence to the specifications outlined in the relevant sections of the tender documents.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database.
• Proof of authorized dealership or distribution rights from manufacturers or suppliers of medical gases.
• Relevant experience in supplying and managing medical gas cylinders, preferably within a municipal or healthcare setting.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to medical gases.
• Capability to deliver cylinders promptly and maintain continuous supply during the contract period.
• Provision of qualified personnel trained in handling medical gases and cylinders.
• Submission of necessary certifications, including B-BBEE status, municipal accounts, and tax compliance status.
