Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provision a single cherry-picker for the Cape Town Container Terminals over a six-month period. The supplier is expected to ensure timely delivery, propose innovations to improve equipment reliability, and maintain compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Delivery of one cherry-picker within 12 hours upon request.
• Ongoing recommendations for equipment improvements and innovations.
• Contractor management and approval of project execution and compliance documentation.
• Provision of replacement parts within 24 hours if failure occurs.
• Monthly submission of compliance and activity reports.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Delivery lead time not exceeding 12 hours from request.
• Implementation of new ideas or innovations to enhance equipment reliability.
• Preparation and submission of SHE (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) files at project start.
• Approval of the Mandatary Agreement as per relevant occupational health and safety legislation.
• Adherence to occupational health and safety guidelines and detailed data submission.
• Replacement of failed parts within 24 hours of notification.
• Monthly reporting on activities, compliance, and challenges faced.

Skills Requirements

The skills and competencies required include:

• Ability to deliver equipment within specified lead times.
• Capability to propose and implement innovations for equipment reliability.
• Proficiency in preparing and managing SHE files and safety documentation.
• Experience in managing equipment repairs and parts replacement efficiently.
