Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to deliver garden maintenance services at Wesselsbron Magistrate Court for a period of 36 months. The goal is to ensure the proper upkeep, routine gardening, and general maintenance of the Magistrate Office grounds, adhering to specified standards and technical requirements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• General maintenance and routine gardening activities at Wesselsbron Magistrate Office.
• Maintenance of lawns, shrubs, roses, perennial and tuberous plants, trees, and annual seedlings.
• Cleaning of roads, sidewalks, footpaths, paved areas, stormwater canals, and paved surfaces.
• Pest control, rubble removal, rubbish bin cleaning, and fire belt management.
• Monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems, fertilization, mulching, pruning, weeding, and cultivation.
• Planting of seedlings and perennials, and maintenance of water basins around trees.
• Adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards during execution.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Provision of all labour, tools, machinery, and materials necessary for maintenance activities.
• Use of specified horticultural practices for mowing, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, and irrigation.
• Supply of protective clothing and PPE for workers.
• Regular site inspections and adherence to safety protocols.
• Implementation of pest control, rubble removal, and waste management procedures.
• Compliance with health and safety legislation, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident reporting.
• Provision of insurance, security clearance, and proper documentation as per contractual and legislative requirements.
• Participation in site meetings and submission of progress reports.

Skills Requirements
