Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of materials at the Bloemfontein Regional Office Workshop, ensuring the provision of quality goods in accordance with specified requirements and standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various materials required at the workshop of the Bloemfontein Regional Office, including but not limited to batteries and other specified items, as detailed in the specifications and pricing schedule. The contract covers the full procurement process from bid submission, evaluation, to delivery and installation if applicable.

Technical Requirements

• Materials must conform to the standards specified in the tender documentation and applicable in the contract.
• Suppliers must provide new, unused, and current model goods that incorporate recent design and material improvements.
• All goods must be properly packed to prevent damage during transit and comply with special packing and marking instructions.
• Delivery must be made in accordance with the specified schedule, with appropriate documentation, and include necessary insurance coverage.
• Suppliers may be required to provide incidental services such as installation, commissioning, training, and maintenance support.
• Warranty period of 12 months from delivery or 18 months from shipment, whichever concludes earlier, for defect-free goods.
• Suppliers must submit all required documentation, including bid forms, declarations, and compliance certificates.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying similar materials to government or large organizations.
• Ability to demonstrate compliance with technical standards and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, including adherence to the Central Supplier Database registration and tax compliance requirements.
• Capability to provide incidental services such as installation, training, and after-sales support.
• Understanding of legal and contractual obligations, including adherence to the General Conditions of Contract and specific tender conditions.
• Qualified personnel with relevant technical expertise in procurement, logistics, and quality control.
