Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure services for the servicing and disposal of sewage in septic tanks at the Transnet Port Terminal, Richards Bay, for a period of six months.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of servicing and disposal of sewage in septic tanks at the specified terminal location. The scope details are provided in the attached scope of work document.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of sewage servicing and disposal in septic tanks at the Richards Bay Terminal.
• Compliance with all relevant licenses and permits, including a valid Waste Disposal Service License issued by the Richards Bay Transnet National Ports Authority and a Sewage Discharge Permit from Umhlathuze Municipality.
• Use of accredited tanker drivers with valid hazardous waste certificates and Professional Driving Permits (PrDP).
• Ownership or valid license/logbook for tanker vehicles used in service delivery.
• Adherence to safety, security, and legal compliance requirements, including obtaining necessary security clearances.
• Implementation of security measures to ensure safe performance of the contract.
