Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is for the service provider to supply and fit 10 mm steel lockable brackets on the top and bottom of the front kiosk doors, along with 40 mm heavy-duty Fort Knox padlocks. The installation and assembly are to be carried out at two specified locations: Pharoe Park (56 kiosks) and Airport Park (18 kiosks), totaling 74 kiosks.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Design, fabrication, coating, and installation of 74 sets of high-security lockable brackets (top and bottom) for kiosk front doors.
• Supply of heavy-duty padlocks (Fort Knox 40 mm keyed).
• Preparation of materials, including brackets painted with epoxy rust primer and black paint, and surface preparation to ensure corrosion resistance.
• Securing brackets by welding to prevent removal with standard tools and ensuring the doors operate freely without binding the padlocks.
• Assembly/mounting at designated sites with adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the brackets and padlocks are as follows:

• Brackets: 10 mm steel, painted with epoxy rust primer and black UV-rated exterior finish, minimum 50 microns dry film thickness, and 110 microns total coating thickness.
• Material: Hardened steel or solid brass with chrome plating for the brackets; hardened boron alloy steel for shackles (minimum 8 mm diameter).
• Design: Overlap of 40 mm onto the door frame, with a tolerance to prevent bolt-cutter insertion and resist vertical and floor-level leverage attacks.
• Padlocks: 40 mm heavy-duty Fort Knox padlocks, keyed (preferably keyed alike or master keyed as specified).
• Coating: Two-stage process including blasting or wire brushing to a clean metal finish, followed by epoxy primer and durable exterior black UV-rated finish.
• Installation: Brackets to be welded securely, ensuring the door operates freely without binding, and the lock shackle is protected from attacks.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in designing, fabricating, and installing high-security locking hardware for kiosks or similar structures.
• Proven ability to work with heavy-duty steel materials and apply corrosion-resistant coatings suitable for outdoor environments.
• Capability to perform surface preparation, welding, and assembly to meet technical and security standards.
• Availability of qualified personnel with technical expertise in metal fabrication, coating application, and secure installation.
• Compliance with safety standards and ability to coordinate installation at multiple sites within the specified locations.
