Objectives

The tender aims to procure physiotherapy items to support rehabilitation, pain management, and therapeutic needs at Inanda CHC. The items are intended to enhance patient care through supply and delivery of various physiotherapy equipment and accessories.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a range of physiotherapy products, including walking sticks, exercise balls, hot/cold packs, electrodes, exercise mats, bandages, tapes, gels, and other related accessories, as specified in the detailed product descriptions. The procurement covers multiple categories such as exercise equipment, therapeutic gels, electrodes, and support devices, with the requirement for timely delivery and compliance with technical specifications.

Technical Requirements

• All products must conform to the specifications attached in the tender documentation, including size, material, quality standards, and safety features.
• Items such as exercise balls, mats, and support devices should be made from durable, non-toxic, and approved materials (e.g., HPCSA or SABS standards).
• Electrodes and electrical devices must meet safety and performance standards, including compatibility with existing equipment.
• Products like bandages and tapes should be hypoallergenic, latex-free, and conform to medical standards.
• All items must be new, unused, and of the latest models or current standards.
• Delivery must be within the specified period, with proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
• Suppliers must provide samples for evaluation where specified.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Suppliers must demonstrate compliance with the technical specifications and standards outlined in the tender documents.
• Proven capacity to deliver the required quantities within the stipulated timeframe (e.g., within 8 weeks).
• Ability to provide technical support, including product information, manuals, and after-sales service.
• Experience in supplying medical and physiotherapy equipment to government health facilities.
• Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including registration on the Central Suppliers Database and valid tax clearance.
• Capability to supply certified and approved products (e.g., HPCSA, SABS standards).
• Qualified personnel to handle technical queries and provide necessary training or demonstrations if required.
