Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to gather information from experienced respondents capable of supplying, installing, operating, and maintaining an Automated Vehicle Inspection Booth within the port environment. Specifically, Transnet aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce claims, and ensure seamless vehicle inspection processes at the Durban RORO Terminal through the deployment of an automated inspection system that electronically captures vehicle data, provides high-resolution images, and integrates with internal systems.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Leasing, supply, installation, and maintenance of an Automated Vehicle Inspection Booth at the Durban RORO Terminal.
• Duration of the contract: 60 months (5 years).
• Provision of a solution that electronically inspects vehicles entering or departing the terminal, capturing high-quality images and documentation.
• Ensuring the booth's operational capabilities meet specified performance and technical standards, including image quality, processing speed, and data security.
• Integration with Transnet’s internal systems and compliance with operational, technical, and regulatory requirements.

• Capacity to provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for the duration of the contract.
