Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver eight pest control services for the Umtata Business Units in the Eastern Cape, specifically for NHLS Labs. The service aims to ensure effective pest management across various laboratory facilities, maintaining a hygienic and compliant environment.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of quarterly pest control services at designated NHLS laboratory sites in Umtata.
• Coverage of multiple laboratory departments such as Chemistry, Histology, Cytology, Haematology, Microbiology, TB & Serology, Virology, Lab Support, Stores, and Administration Offices, totaling approximately 1897m².
• Execution of pest control maintenance and related activities over an 8-service period, aligned with the specified locations and facilities.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Be registered with relevant professional bodies such as SAPCA and/or PCIPC.
• Provide proof of registration, licenses, and compliance with SANS regulations.
• Submit at least three reference letters for similar work completed within the last three years.
• Adhere to all applicable health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Deliver services quarterly, ensuring timely and effective pest management as per the scope.
• Provide detailed pricing, including fixed rates, VAT, and total costs, in the prescribed schedule.
• Comply with contractual and procurement policies, including submission of valid tax clearance and CSD registration.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Technical expertise in pest control services, with relevant industry certifications and licenses.
• Experience in managing pest control in laboratory or similar sensitive environments.
• Ability to provide references for similar contracts completed within the last three years.
• Capacity to deliver scheduled quarterly services reliably and efficiently.
• Competence in adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed quotations, compliance documentation, and contractual obligations.
