Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service for the maintenance, servicing, and technical support of kitchen cooking equipment at Manguzi Hospital. This includes preventive maintenance, repairs, and ensuring the equipment operates efficiently to support hospital operations.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Servicing of kitchen equipment such as main stoves, pots, tilting pans, ovens, hydroboilers, dishwashing machines, extractor canopies, and food warmers.
• Six-monthly preventive maintenance schedules.
• Repairs and replacement of parts as required.
• Technical inspections and certification of equipment functionality.
• Provision of on-site personnel for service delivery and certification.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Servicing and maintenance of kitchen equipment including but not limited to:
• Stoves, pots, tilting pans, ovens, hydroboilers, dishwashers, extractor canopies, and food warmers.
• Trade test certification in electrical or mechanical fields.
• Proof of previous experience in servicing kitchen equipment.
• Change oil in pots and perform minor and major services as scheduled.
• Inspection of electrical components for safety and compliance.
• Replacement of worn or defective parts with approved standards.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Trade test certification in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Experience in servicing kitchen cooking equipment, supported by service level agreements or previous purchase orders.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on kitchen appliances.
• Qualified technical personnel including skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers as needed.
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Capacity to provide on-site supervision, certification, and documentation of services performed.
