DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH WESTERN CAPE INVITES TENDERS FOR SPECIALIZING IN ROADWORKS
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 2SB or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who SPECIALIZING IN ROADWORKS. PREFERENCES ARE OFFERED TO TENDERS WHO
SPECIALIZES IN ROAD MARKINGS AND REPAIRES IN ROADWORKS

Only tenderers who RED CROSS WAR MEMORIAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL HEREBY INVITES ALL INTERESTED PROSPECTIVE
SERVICE PROVIDERS TO QUOTE ON THE REQUEST FOR THE FOLLOWING:
• REPAIRS TO ROADS, PARKING AREAS AND SIDEWALKS, RE-SURFACING OF HELIPAD WALKWAY AND CRECHE
PLAYGROUND
• BIDDERS TO NOTE THAT THE COST OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETLY PLAN SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE COST
BREAKDOWN
•THE CONTRACTOR WILL ONLY BE GIVEN ACCESS TO START WORK AFTER APPROVAL OF THE THEIR DETAILED HEALTH
AND SAFETY PLAN, WHICH MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE EMPLOYER WITH 5 DAYS AFTER AWARD OF THIS CONTRACT
Please ensure that the “details of offer” section is fully completed. Incomplete submissions may affect the evaluation of your offer.
Should it be required, you may be requested to provide the complete document upon the closure of the event. Service providers will be
able to provide a minimum of 48 hours from request to submit the completed document.

Kindly note that all bidders are required to bring along their own printed copies of the specifications when attending the compulsory site
meeting, no copies will be printed on the day of the site meeting
Notice:
Attendance at the site meeting is mandatory. Only the offers from service providers who attend the meeting will be considered for the
Request for Quotation (RFQ).

NOTE TO BIDDERS:

Suppliers must supply goods/services as per e-PS advert only, no deviation will be allowed.

·

This bid is subject to the GCC and other applicable SCM rules.

·

This service will be monitored accordingly.

·

The bidders are required to adhere to specifications.

·
In instances where a bidder’s tax compliance status cannot be verified or if a bidder’s tax status is non-compliant on the CSD, the
bidder will be afforded seven (7) working days to confirm tax compliance for the bid to be considered; and,
·

where a bidder’s WCSEB status is suspended, the bidder will be afforded 7 working days to rectify their status to be considered

COMPULSORY REQUIREMENTS
The following requirements are compulsory and failure to comply with the requirements below will lead to the submitted offers being
considered non-compliant:

This bid is subject to the General Conditions of the Contract (GCC) and, if applicable, any other Special Conditions of the Contract.

2.

All prospective service providers must be registered on the following databases at the time of the bid closing:

The Western Cape Supplier Evidence Bank (SEB, local)

·

The Central Supplier Database (CSD, national)

·

The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB)

Only those tenderers who are registered with the CIDB, or are capable of being so prior to the evaluation of submissions, in a
contractor grading designation equal to or higher than a contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum
tendered, or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25 (1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development
Regulations, for a grade 1 or higher class of construction work(SO 1-9), are eligible to have their tenders evaluated.

BID INFORMATION

Bidders should indicate their delivery period. Where the Hospital has specified the required delivery period, any delivery period
longer than the specified/required would be considered non-compliant with our requirement.

Due to the nature of our business, Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital considers any breach of contract or failure to
deliver on contracts in a serious light and will exercise any of its rights as provided for in law without any further communication with the
supplier.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Administration Building Red Cross Children
War Memorial Hospital on 03 June 2026 starting at 09h30.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, July 3, 2026.
