Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable contractor to undertake repairs and renovations under the Storm Damaged Programme (Phase 14) at Msinga High School, located within Cluster 111 in the Midlands Region. The project aims to restore and complete the necessary infrastructure damaged by storms, ensuring the safety and functionality of the school facilities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Completion of repairs and renovations at Msinga High School.
• Adherence to the specifications outlined in the bid documentation.
• Site work within the uMzinyathi District.
• Project duration of twelve (12) calendar months from contract award.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of a valid CIDB grading of 5GB or higher.
• Compliance with all specifications and standards detailed in the bid document.
• Participation in a compulsory pre-tender meeting on-site at the specified GPS coordinates.
• Site visits to be arranged by bidders at their own cost for familiarization.
• Submission of all supporting documents, including proof of payment for the bid document.
• Adherence to the phased bid evaluation process, including functionality and mandatory criteria.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from bidders include:

• Registered on the Central Suppliers Database.
• Demonstrated experience in storm damage repairs and renovations.
• Ability to meet the CIDB grading requirement (5GB or higher).
• Capacity to complete the project within the specified timeframe.
• Provision of documentary proof for specific goals such as ownership by Black People and promotion of enterprises within uMzinyathi District.
• Understanding of the phased evaluation process, including functionality and price scoring.
