Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure security services for the property located at Sasolburg, House Number 07 Friekkie Meyer Street. The service is to be rendered on a month-to-month basis for a period not exceeding six (6) months, ensuring the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and assets.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of security officers (Grade C) for day and night shifts, including relievers.
• Deployment of security aids such as radios, batons, handcuffs, whistles, and communication devices.
• Implementation of operational conditions, including security patrols, incident reporting, shift handovers, and access control.
• Provision of uniforms, identification badges, and necessary security equipment.
• Adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including pre-employment screening and ongoing vetting of security personnel.
• Preparation of operational plans, contingency measures, and security risk assessments.
• Compliance with legislative and contractual requirements, including PSIRA registration and BBBEE certification.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• Security officers must be fully equipped, neat, and identifiable at all times.
• Officers must have valid PSIRA registration and undergo pre-screening and vetting processes.
• Security aids such as two-way radios, batons, handcuffs, and torches must be used and maintained properly.
• Operational procedures must include incident recording, shift handovers, patrols, and reporting mechanisms.
• Security personnel must comply with health and safety standards, including PPE usage and emergency procedures.
• Regular inspections, audits, and reporting are mandatory to ensure service quality.
• Security services are to be provided on a month-to-month basis, with the possibility of early termination if necessary.

Skills Requirements

The tender requires bidders to demonstrate:

• At least 2-3 years of experience in security services, specifically for Grade C officers.
• Capability to respond to emergencies within 45 minutes.
• Provision of well-trained security supervisors with supervisory training and relevant experience.
• Ability to conduct security risk assessments and develop operational methodologies tailored to the site challenges.
• Compliance with PSIRA registration, vetting, and screening of all security personnel.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation applicable to security operations.
• Capacity to provide contingency plans and manage security incidents effectively.
