Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver specific cleaning and disinfectant products, namely paracetic acid, alkaline booster, and low foam liquid laundry detergent, to the Umzinyathi District Office. Additionally, the tender aims to promote the participation of South African owned enterprises and ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement of:

• Paracetic acid (25L packages, total quantity: 180 units)
• Alkaline booster (25L packages, total quantity: 60 units)
• Low foam liquid laundry detergent (25L packages, total quantity: 60 units)

The products must meet specified standards, including safety, registration, and suitability for industrial laundry machines. The delivery is a once-off process to the specified address in Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal, within the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Paracetic acid must be active at a minimum of 12%, safe for use on all linen types, registered with NRCS as a disinfectant, and suitable for direct injection into laundry machines.
• Alkaline booster must contain sodium hydroxide (>30%) and sodium silicate (0-15%), with a size of 25L.
• Low foam liquid laundry detergent must contain sodium hydroxide (10-25%), methylenephosphonate (0-10%), and sodium silicate (0-10%), with a size of 25L.
• All products must comply with specified safety, quality, and registration standards, including proper labeling and safety data sheets.
• Samples are required for evaluation, and the supplier must demonstrate the ability to set appropriate dosages for direct injection into laundry equipment.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering chemical disinfectants and laundry detergents to healthcare or similar institutions.
• Ability to demonstrate compliance with national standards and registration requirements (NRCS).
• Capability to provide technical support, including setting up dosing systems and training on product use.
• Provision of samples and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for evaluation.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preferential procurement and BBBEE requirements.
• Ability to meet delivery deadlines and ensure product quality and safety during transit and handling.
