The primary objective of this tender is to invite interested parties to comment on and/or submit alternative proposals for the extension of the existing Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager Passenger Rail Service Contract on the Paarl–Franschhoek Branch Line. The aim is to ensure continued and improved passenger rail services on this route through stakeholder engagement and innovative proposals.
The scope of the tender encompasses the extension of the current passenger rail service contract on the Paarl–Franschhoek Branch Line. It includes reviewing existing service arrangements, considering alternative proposals, and providing feedback or new solutions that could enhance service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction on the specified route.
