Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a 6-month contract for the supply of disposable core tissue biopsy needles (18G x 25cm) to Ngwelezane Hospital. The contract aims to ensure the consistent availability of high-quality biopsy needles for diagnostic procedures, supporting the hospital's urology and diagnostic services.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement and delivery of 396 units of disposable core tissue biopsy needles (18G x 25cm) over a period of six months. The contract covers supply, delivery, and compliance with specified standards and specifications, including providing samples for evaluation if required.

• Material: Stainless steel needle with durable plastic handle and biopsy gun.
• Size: 18G x 25cm.
• Colour: White.
• Standards: Must conform to SABS standards.
• Packaging: Units must be properly packed to prevent damage during transit.
• Samples: A sample of the product may be required for evaluation prior to award.
• Documentation: Submission of detailed specifications, compliance with technical standards, and relevant certification.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of medical device specifications and standards, particularly for biopsy needles.
