Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider capable of supplying a road tanker to load and transport an intermixture of petrol and diesel from Transnet Sasolburg Depot to Transnet Pipelines' IRP Tarlton Depot on a once-off basis.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of a road tanker for fuel transportation.
• Loading and transporting an intermixture of petrol/diesel product, specifically more than 40,000 liters with 30% diesel contaminant.
• Transporting dangerous goods, including adherence to safety protocols such as firefighting and first aid methods.
• Delivering the product during specified office hours: 07:00 at Sasolburg depot and 14:00 at IRP Tarlton depot, Monday to Friday.
• Submission of comprehensive compliance documentation from a principal contractor, including SHEQ approval and site access certification.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Provision of a suitable road tanker capable of transporting over 40,000 liters of fuel with specified contamination levels.
• Compliance with safety standards for transporting dangerous goods, including firefighting and first aid measures.
• Submission of a required safety file from Transnet SOC Ltd.
