Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a major service to bore holes at clinics, specifically targeting the maintenance and servicing of boreholes at various clinics within the Madadeni Hospital area. The service aims to ensure the proper functioning and sustainability of borehole infrastructure to support water supply needs at the clinics.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of a comprehensive major service to boreholes at multiple clinics, including Charlestown Clinic, Stafford Clinic, Rosary Clinic, Osizweni Clinics (1, 2, 3), Newcastle Clinic, Ingogo Clinic, and Madadeni Clinic 7.
• Attendance to a compulsory site visit at Madadeni Hospital on 07/07/2026.
• Delivery of services as a once-off contract.
• Collection of quotes from the KZN Health website and submission to the designated tender box at Madadeni Hospital.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to the specifications detailed in the attached Annexure B, including compliance with quality standards and detailed service specifications for borehole maintenance.
• Provision of samples if required, and compliance with the detailed scope of work as per the attached specification form.
• Completion of the attached specification form indicating compliance (YES/NO).
• Attendance at the compulsory briefing session and site inspection.
• Provision of detailed service and maintenance plans, including preventive maintenance schedules, spare parts, and repair procedures.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for bidders include:

• Technical expertise in borehole maintenance, drilling, and servicing.
• Experience in executing similar borehole services at clinics or similar facilities.
• Knowledge of water well standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to provide technical documentation, maintenance schedules, and reports.
• Qualified personnel with relevant certifications in borehole drilling, servicing, and water infrastructure maintenance.
