Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of providing and delivering wall-mounted examination lamps with specific features such as ergonomic handles and flexible arms, to meet the clinical needs of Vryheid Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement aims to ensure the hospital is equipped with modern, reliable examination lighting that complies with relevant standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of wall-mounted examination lamps with ergonomic integral handles and 76 cm flexible LED arms.
• Delivery of the lamps to Vryheid Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, including all associated logistics and documentation.
• Provision of samples if required, and adherence to the detailed specifications provided by the hospital.
• Compliance with all relevant procurement policies, standards, and contractual conditions.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the examination lamps are as follows:

• Wall-mounted design with ergonomic integral handle.
• 76 cm flexible arm for adjustable positioning.
• LED magnifying lamp with high illumination quality.
• Compliance with attached specification documents, including size, colour, and material requirements.
• Product must meet SANAS/SABS standards and be compliant with relevant health and safety regulations.
• Samples may be required for testing and verification purposes.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in supplying medical examination lighting equipment.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards specified by Vryheid Hospital.
• Capability to provide after-sales support, warranty services, and technical assistance.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preferential procurement regulations and BBBEE requirements.
• Availability of qualified personnel to handle the supply, installation, and commissioning processes if required.
• Provision of all necessary documentation, including valid tax clearance, CSD registration, and BBBEE certificates where applicable.
