Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a contract for the provision of Terberg H-frame and Fifth Wheel repairs at AT MHA for Transnet SOC Ltd. The repairs are to be carried out on an "as and when required" basis over a period of 45 months, ensuring maintenance and operational readiness of the specified equipment.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of repair services for Terberg H-frames and Fifth Wheels.
• Work to be performed at AT MHA facilities.
• Services to be delivered on an "as and when required" basis over 45 months.
• Compliance with technical and safety standards as specified in Annexure A (Scope of Work).

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of qualified personnel with valid trade test certificates and operational certificates for:
• Welder
• Mechanical Fitter
• Spray Painter
• Adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards specified by Transnet.
• Compliance with security clearance requirements for personnel involved.
• Use of approved tools, equipment, and materials suitable for H-frame and Fifth Wheel repairs.
• Provision of all necessary documentation, including trade certificates and operational certifications.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service providers include:

• Trade test certificates for the designated personnel (Welder, Mechanical Fitter, Spray Painter).
• Proven experience in repairing and maintaining Terberg H-frames and Fifth Wheels.
• Ability to comply with safety and security protocols, including obtaining necessary security clearances.
• Technical competence in using relevant tools and equipment for heavy vehicle component repairs.
• Capacity to provide qualified personnel on short notice and maintain operational standards.
