Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver 600 boxes of Home Based Care Kits, which include various sizes of nappies and related items, to the Ilembe District Office. The kits are intended to support home-based patient care by providing essential supplies that meet specified standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of 600 boxes of home-based care kits, including small, medium, large, and extra-large nappies, along with associated items such as soaps, Vaseline, aqueous cream, Betadine ointments, disposable aprons, and garbage liners. The delivery is to be made to multiple local facilities within the Ilembe District, as detailed in the specification list.

The delivery must adhere to the specifications outlined, including packaging, quality standards, and timely completion. The contract is a once-off procurement with a validity period of 90 days from the date of the award.

Technical Requirements

• The supplied home-based care kits must comply with the detailed specifications provided, including sizes, quantities, and included items.
• Items must meet quality standards, be SABS or SANS approved, and conform to relevant health and safety regulations.
• Samples of the products must be submitted on or before the closing date for evaluation.
• The products should be packed securely to prevent damage during transit and delivery must be completed within the specified delivery period.
• All documentation, including invoices and delivery notes, must be submitted as per contractual requirements.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in the supply and delivery of medical or health-related products, particularly home care kits.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards specified in the tender documentation.
• Capacity to manage timely procurement, packaging, and delivery logistics to multiple facilities within the district.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to medical supplies and packaging.
• Competence in providing required documentation, samples, and compliance certificates, including CIPC registration and product approvals.
