Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply 200 units of Fluidshield 3 N95 particulate filter respirators, including surgical masks, to Bethesda Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure the hospital is equipped with certified respiratory protective equipment that meets specified standards for safety and health compliance.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of the specified Fluidshield 3 N95 particulate filter respirators and surgical masks to Bethesda Hospital's Central Supply Chain Management division. The procurement is a once-off contract with a validity period of 90 days from the advertisement date, with the delivery to be made to the hospital's premises at Ubombo Main Road, Ubumbo 3970.

Technical Requirements

• The items must be new, unused, and conform to the relevant SABS or SANS standards and specifications.
• The respirators should be N95 particulate filters suitable for respiratory protection against hazardous substances.
• The surgical masks should be packaged as 35 pcs per box, with the product meeting the specified safety and quality standards.
• The products must be compliant with the detailed specifications provided in the tender documentation, including size, material, and packaging.
• Proof of certification and approval from the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) or South African National Standards (SANS) must be provided.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• The bidder must demonstrate the ability to supply certified medical-grade respiratory protective equipment that meets national and international standards.
• The bidder should have experience in supplying medical or protective equipment to healthcare facilities, evidenced by previous contracts or references.
• The bidder must possess the necessary licenses and authorizations from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAPHRA) if applicable.
• The bidder must provide proof of compliance with the South African Revenue Services (SARS) tax clearance and registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Technical capacity to ensure timely delivery, proper packaging, and quality assurance must be demonstrated.
