Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply a portable posture mirror designed for postural training and assessments in rehabilitation departments and clinics at Bruntville CHC. The aim is to ensure the provision of a safe, compliant, and high-quality mirror that meets specified standards and specifications to support health service delivery.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of a portable posture mirror to Bruntville CHC. The product must adhere to detailed specifications regarding size, features, safety, and quality standards. The procurement covers a once-off delivery, with the product intended for use in rehabilitation and clinical settings within the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health.

Technical Requirements

• Dimensions: Panel size 120x36cm; total size 155x55cm; wheelbase 60x55cm.
• Features:
  • Four castors for mobility.
  • Tilt function for adjustable positioning.
  • Bonded toughened 5mm thick safety glass.
  • Steel frame with powder coating.
• Warranty: Minimum of 6 months from date of purchase.
• Compliance with S.A.B.S. standards.
• Product must be new, unused, and incorporate recent design and safety improvements.
• Product must be supplied with appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate compliance with technical specifications and standards.
• Bidder must provide proof of product compliance with attached specifications (ANNEXURE A).
• Bidder must have the capacity to deliver the product within the specified timeframe.
• Bidder should be registered on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide valid registration details.
• Bidder must comply with procurement policies, including preference points for Black Women-owned companies (at least 51% ownership).
• Bidder should have experience in supplying medical or rehabilitation equipment, with relevant supporting documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable standards (S.A.B.S.) and safety regulations is essential.
