Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure training services for basic road marking and line painting using roller and brush application methods. The training aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform surface preparation, equipment familiarization, line painting techniques, stencil application, paint application, safety, and regulatory compliance, as well as practical application skills.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of training on basic road marking and line painting techniques.
• Development and delivery of course content covering introduction to road markings, surface preparation, equipment use, line painting techniques, stencil use, paint application, safety, and practical exercises.
• Certification of participants upon successful completion.
• Provision of training to a specified number of learners, with prices per person.
• Delivery of training within the stipulated timeframe and location as specified by the municipality.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender are as follows:

• The training must include:
• Introduction to road markings
• Surface preparation techniques
• Equipment familiarization, including measuring tools
• Line painting techniques
• Use of stencils
• Paint application methods and thickness control
• Safety and regulatory compliance
• Practical application exercises
• Service providers must provide three written references demonstrating at least four years of relevant experience (no references prior to 2015 accepted).
• The facilitator must have at least 3-4 years of relevant facilitation experience, with proof provided via CV.
• Training materials, certificates of competence, and copies must be provided, laminated, after training completion.
• Pricing must be VAT inclusive and valid until 30 June 2027.

Skills Requirements

The skills required from the service provider include:

• Experienced facilitators with a minimum of 3-4 years in delivering road marking training.
• Proven track record with at least four years of relevant training experience.
• Ability to develop comprehensive training content aligned with technical specifications.
• Capability to provide practical training and certification.
• Strong understanding of safety, regulatory standards, and best practices in road marking.
• Effective communication and instructional skills to ensure participant competency.
