Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure minor renovations at Mabheleni Clinic to ensure compliance with health standards, including making the facility ideal for clinic operations and ensuring it meets relevant standards such as SABS approval and Department of Health specifications.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply, delivery, installation, and testing of all necessary materials for minor renovations.
• Carrying out building maintenance, repairs, and minor new works as specified in the drawings and Bill of Quantities.
• Work to be performed in accordance with the Department of Health standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and relevant regulations.
• Site clearance, ensuring safety, and maintaining a clean work environment throughout the project duration.
• Adherence to specified lead times (e.g., 2 weeks for the initial scope, 4 weeks for the full contract period).

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Compliance with the specifications outlined in the technical scope, including the use of SABS approved materials.
• Installation of all materials as per drawings and specifications, with approval from the Chief Works Inspector.
• Implementation of a comprehensive health and safety plan, including hazard notices, PPE, machine guarding, and safety procedures.
• Provision of a detailed safety plan approved by the Department of Health’s Safety Officer.
• Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, including incident reporting, hazard demarcation, and PPE use.
• Proper documentation, including Bill of Quantities, signed specifications, and compliance certificates.
