Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supply of Syringe Omnifix Syringe 50/60 Luer Lock to meet the needs of Greys Hospital under the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of quality medical syringes that conform to specified standards and specifications, supporting the hospital's medical and healthcare services.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply and delivery of 4,000 units of Syringe Omnifix Syringe 50/60ML with Luer Lock fittings. The procurement process covers the entire process from submission of quotations, technical compliance, sample submission (if applicable), to final delivery at the specified hospital address. The contract is a once-off purchase with a validity period of 90 days from the date of advertisement.

Technical Requirements

• The product must be a Syringe Omnifix Syringe 50/60ML with Luer Lock fitting, as specified in the item description.
• The supplied syringes must conform to the specifications outlined in the attached specification documents and relevant standards (SANS/SABS).
• The product must be new, unused, and of the latest or current model, incorporating recent design and material improvements.
• The syringes should be suitable for medical use, with appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit.
• Suppliers must provide samples upon request for evaluation and testing purposes.
• The delivery must be completed within the specified delivery period, with all required documentation accompanying the shipment.
• All products supplied must be valid for a minimum period of six months from the date of delivery.

• Proven experience in supplying medical devices, specifically syringes, to healthcare institutions.
• Compliance with South African health regulations and standards, including valid licensing from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).
