Scope of Work

The contract covers the one-off supply and delivery of one (1) compliant scrubbing machine to the hospital’s designated location. The scope includes:

• Transportation and delivery of the equipment to the specified site.
• Provision of all necessary documentation, including operations manuals and warranty certificates.
• Strict adherence to a fixed, once-off contract period with no automatic renewal.

Technical Requirements

Bidders must supply a new, unused unit that strictly meets or exceeds the following specifications:

• Weight: 42kg.
• Base Plate Diameter: 425mm (17 inches).
• Performance: 159 RPM rotation speed, maximum noise level of 50 decibels.
• Material Resistance: Fully acid-proof and alkali-proof construction.
• Safety & Standards: Class 1 safety rating, compliant with South African National Standards (SANS/SABS).
• Warranty: Minimum two (2) years coverage.
• Condition: Must be brand new, non-expired (minimum six months shelf life remaining), and free from manufacturing defects.

While no specialised technical certifications are mandated, bidders must demonstrate:

• Logistical & Commercial Capability: Ability to source, transport, and deliver the equipment within the stipulated timeframe at an all-inclusive firm price.
• Proven Track Record: Submission of at least two verifiable references from previous similar supply contracts.
• Regulatory Compliance: Active registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD), valid SARS tax clearance status, and accurate completion of all mandatory Standard Bidding Document (SBD) forms.
• Administrative Competence: Proficiency in navigating public sector procurement processes, including preference point claims and contractual obligations.
