The primary objective of this procurement is to acquire a dedicated medication storage unit that ensures proper cold chain management and secure preservation of patient medications at Umgeni Hospital.

Scope

The scope encompasses the once-off supply and delivery of a medication fridge to the designated hospital facility. The contract includes transportation to the site, provision of all mandatory compliance documentation, and adherence to a ninety-day quotation validity period. All delivery and handling costs must be factored into the quoted price.

• Design & Capacity: Pharmacy-grade smart fridge with a 90-litre internal capacity, four shelving units, and a keylock. Engineered as a direct "drop-in" replacement for standard bar fridges.
• Dimensions & Weight: External: 500mm (W) × 250mm (D) × 840mm (H). Internal: 420mm (W) × 405mm (D) × 690mm (H). Unit weight: 35kg.
• Finish: White exterior.
• Documentation & Compliance: Must align with applicable SANS/SABS standards. Bidders must submit a detailed technical brochure or schematic, a formal compliance declaration, and SAHPRA certification.
• Sample Inspection: A physical sample must be submitted for evaluation prior to contract award.
• Product Condition: Items must be brand new, unused, and possess a minimum remaining validity of six months upon delivery.
