Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to identify, diagnose, and permanently repair active water leaks across designated areas of Hlabisa Hospital. The contract aims to restore full functionality to the hospital's plumbing infrastructure, prevent water wastage, mitigate structural damage, and ensure uninterrupted water supply to critical patient care areas.

Scope of Work

The scope covers a one-off repair project targeting three specific locations: C-Ward, H-Ward, and Maternity. Key activities include:

• Locating and repairing leaking shower pipes, flush pipes, and waste pipes.
• Chasing walls to access damaged pipework, replacing 22mm copper pipes, and backfilling walls.
• Restoring chased walls to their original condition through plastering and painting.
• Removing existing toilets and installing new shy cistern toilet sets, ensuring secure mounting and zero leakage.
• Implementing dust control measures during wall grinding and masonry work.
• Post-completion submission of maintenance reports, signed job cards, and original tax invoices for payment processing.

Technical Requirements

Bidders must meet the following mandatory technical and administrative criteria:

• Registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) with verified status.
• A valid Letter of Good Standing (tax clearance) from the revenue authority.
• Minimum contractor registration grading of 1 SO issued by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
• Submission of a previous work completion certificate demonstrating relevant experience.
• Strict adherence to the attached specification document, including pipe replacement standards, wall restoration protocols, and toilet installation guidelines.
