Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit reputable and experienced service providers to supply and deliver sewing machine materials across specified wards (Ward 5, 7, 13, 16, 17, & 20) within the uMzimkhulu Municipality. The project aims to ensure the procurement of quality sewing machine materials to support local initiatives and community development programs.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of sewing machine materials to designated wards within uMzimkhulu Municipality.
• Participation in a compulsory briefing session scheduled at the uMzinkhulu Municipality Makhosini Building Boardroom.
• Adherence to the specifications outlined in the tender documentation, including submission of all required documents and affidavits.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Provision of proof of registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Submission of completed MBD forms: MBD 4, 8, 6.1, and 9.
• Valid municipal rates and services certificates or billing statements for directors, owners, or shareholders, confirming no arrears exceeding 90 days.
• Where applicable, submission of valid lease agreements for office space or accommodation.
• Compliance with the specifications detailed in the tender quotation, which must be on the company's letterhead and include detailed scope of work.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Reputable and proven experience in supplying similar materials.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and delivery timelines.
• Compliance with municipal procurement policies and requirements, including registration on the Central Suppliers Database.
• Provision of valid and current documentation such as CIPC registration certificates, municipal rates certificates, lease agreements, and affidavits where applicable.
• Understanding of the evaluation criteria, including price and specific goals, with emphasis on promoting local and South African owned enterprises.
