Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage qualified contractors for the repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment of municipal buildings and facilities within Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality. The scope specifically emphasizes welding and miscellaneous related works, aiming to ensure the upkeep and improvement of municipal infrastructure over a period of three years.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment of municipal buildings and facilities
• Welding services and miscellaneous tasks related to building upkeep
• Adherence to the specifications and requirements outlined in the tender documents

The contract duration is three years, with the possibility of extension or adjustments as per municipal policies.

Technical Requirements

Potential bidders must meet the following technical criteria:

• CIDB Grading of 1SL or higher
• Provision of relevant documentation including:
• Current tax clearance certificate or SARS PIN
• Certified municipal debt clearance certificate or lease agreement
• Proof of CIDB registration (if applicable)
• Certified joint venture agreement (if applicable)
• Original or certified BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
• Consolidated BBBEE status level verification for joint ventures, trusts, or consortia
• Completed and signed prescribed MBD forms and compulsory documents
• CSD registration supplier number

Prices submitted must be inclusive of VAT, and bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database prior to submission. All tenders must be complete, signed, and submitted by the specified deadline to be considered.
