SOUTH AFRICAN RESERVE BANK INVITES TENDERS FOR KITCHEN UPGRADE PROJECT AT THE SOUTH AFRICAN
RESERVE BANK , DURBAN CASH CENTRE
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 6GB or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who have a CIDB Grading certificate of 6GB or higher
Only tenderers who are tax compliant, and are willing to subject their company and staff to the SARB’s applicable security vetting
procedures, are eligible to submit tenders.
The following are the mandatory requirements that the bidders must comply with:
1. A valid Letter of Good Standing must be provided, issued by the Department of Labour (DoL) or any other recognised Workers’
Compensation Authority.
2. A valid registration certificate must be submitted, confirming that the proposed Construction Manager is professionally registered with
the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as a Candidate/Professional
Construction Manager (Pr.CM).
3. A valid registration certificate must be provided, confirming that the proposed Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) is
registered with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as a Construction
Health and Safety Officer.
4. The tenderer must provide a minimum of (2) two contactable and written references from previous clients and at least one (1) of the
projects must have been completed within the last three (3) years. are eligible to submit tenders. Each reference must confirm that the
tenderer has successfully completed a Commercial Kitchen Upgrade Project within an operational (live) building environment, with a
contract value of no less than R5 million (excluding VAT). are eligible to submit tenders.
Tender documents will be issued for free via the SARB e-Sourcing Portal to contractors who will register with the SARB for this tender
by 12 June 2026 at 14:00 using the email address: [email protected]
Bidders are required to send the following information for registration via the above-stated email address :
1. Tenderer's company name;
2. Full names of contact person;
3. Email address of the contact person; and
4. Contact numbers (office and mobile) of the contact person.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at SARB Durban Cash Centre, 8 Dr AB Xuma
Street, Durban Central on 23 June 2026 starting at 10h30.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 14h00 on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
