Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to render fumigation, disinfection, pest control services, and cleaning of balconies at Kd Matanzima Building. The scope includes pest eradication (such as termites, rats, fleas, mice, cockroaches), cleaning balconies, and installing rodent bait stations, with the aim of maintaining a hygienic and pest-free environment within the building.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Fumigation of termites, rats, fleas, mice, and cockroaches from ground to sixth floor covering approximately 13,218 m².
• Cleaning balconies across various heights from first to fifth floors, approximately 1,100 m².
• Installation of signage for rodent bait stations and procurement of rodent control grain bait (Difethialone 100g).
• Installation of existing and new rodent bait stations around the building (total of 66 stations).
• Application of pesticides in compliance with relevant legislation and safety standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Use of chemicals and pesticides that are registered with the Department of Agriculture, with all pesticide data specified.
• Adherence to all relevant legislation including Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Provision of proof of previous work, including Portfolio of Evidence and certification of pesticides used.
• Personnel must display identification cards at all times, and staff must be properly trained and authorized.
• Application of pesticides must follow manufacturer’s instructions and legal requirements.
• All work must be completed within specified delivery periods, with progress reports submitted as required.
• Sub-contracting is not permitted without prior approval.
• Insurance coverage for personnel and equipment involved in the work.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Registered and certified pest control operators with the Department of Agriculture.
• Experience in pest control, fumigation, and disinfection services, demonstrated through previous projects and Portfolio of Evidence.
• Ability to comply with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Qualified personnel capable of installing and maintaining rodent bait stations and applying pesticides safely.
• Capacity to provide technical supervision, training, and supervision of staff on-site.
• Financial stability evidenced by proof of financial capability, including a bank rating of at least “C”.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to respond to technical and supply chain enquiries in writing.
