Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply, deliver, and refuel a generator at Lusikisiki College of Education Coastal Cluster Offices in OR Tambo District for a period of two years. The service aims to ensure continuous power supply by maintaining adequate diesel fuel levels and reliable generator operation.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply of diesel (minimum 1000L monthly) to the generator at Lusikisiki College of Education Coastal Cluster Offices.
• Delivery and refueling services to be performed within two days unless in emergencies or load shedding situations.
• Items to be delivered during working days, excluding holidays and weekends, to the specified Department of Public Works & Infrastructure offices.
• Provision of related services such as supervision, installation, maintenance, and technical support as required.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• The diesel supplied must meet the specified quality standards and be delivered in accordance with the load shedding schedule to prevent power disruptions.
• The service provider must ensure timely delivery, with a maximum of two days for refueling unless in emergency situations.
• The diesel must be supplied at a rate of R33.90 per litre (including transportation costs), with VAT included where applicable.
• The provider must have the capacity to supply at least 20,000 litres of diesel over the contract period.
• The provider shall adhere to all safety, quality, and compliance standards as specified in the bid documentation.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in supplying and delivering diesel or similar fuels, supported by contactable references of similar projects.
• Proof of financial capability, including a bank rating of at least “C” from an accredited financial institution.
• Compliance with tax regulations, including submission of SARS PIN and VAT registration details if applicable.
• Ability to deliver services within the stipulated timeframes and meet quality standards.
• Proper licensing and registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Provision of necessary documentation such as a valid company registration, proof of compliance, and a signed resolution authorizing the signatory.
