Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supply and delivery of a skip truck capable of handling a 9-ton skip loader with a subframe from behind the cab crane mount. The successful bidder will also be responsible for transferring and remounting the existing crane onto the new truck, including associated costs such as service and maintenance plans, branding, and load text.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of a skip truck with specifications suitable for a 9-ton skip loader.
• Transfer and remounting of the existing crane onto the new truck.
• Inclusion of a service plan for 5 years.
• Provision of an unlimited maintenance plan for 5 years for the truck and chassis.
• Branding of the vehicle as a skip truck.

The technical specifications cover vehicle mass, performance, dimensions, engine, transmission, brakes, electrical features, and other relevant technical details as outlined in the tender document.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Vehicle mass: Tare of 5410 kg, GVW of 16,000 kg, GCM of 24,500 kg.
• Engine: GH8E model, 7,700 cc, turbo intercooled, 184 kW power, 950 Nm torque, emissions standard EUR III.
• Transmission: Allison 3000 shift automatic with 6 gears, PTO capability.
• Brakes: Full air system with ABS and EBD, electronic brake system, exhaust brake.
• Vehicle dimensions: Length 9,397 mm, width 2,486 mm, wheelbase 5,500 mm.
• Additional features: Sleeper cab, air conditioning, radio/USB, onboard computer, tilt cab, speed limiter, rearview mirrors, and other standard features.
• Remounting of existing crane and load text on the new vehicle.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in supplying and servicing similar skip trucks or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Capability to transfer and remount cranes onto new vehicles, including technical expertise in vehicle modifications.
• Provision of comprehensive service and maintenance plans for the specified period.
• Compliance with technical specifications and standards outlined in the tender document.
• Ability to meet quality, safety, and operational standards required by the municipality.
• Provision of necessary documentation, including relevant certificates, manuals, and proof of previous experience.
