Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a qualified contractor for City Beautification and Landscaping works within Buffalo City. Additional objectives include ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, promoting local economic development, and achieving specific goals related to BBBEE and other criteria as outlined in the tender documentation.

Scope

The scope of the contract involves the execution of city beautification and landscaping projects as specified under CONTRACT NO. CE:519. This includes site preparation, planting, maintenance, and related landscaping activities within designated areas of Buffalo City.

Technical Requirements

• CIDB grading of 5SH or higher is mandatory.
• All technical enquiries must be directed to Miss Onalo Tiko at [email protected].
• Bid submissions must include all prescribed documents such as tax clearance, municipal debt clearance, CIDB registration, joint venture agreements (if applicable), and CSD registration.
• Prices must be inclusive of VAT for VAT-registered vendors.
• Bid documents must be complete, signed, and submitted in the specified format, including a USB flash drive with the electronic copy.
• All tenders are subject to risk assessment, including possible presentations or interviews.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Proven experience and a track record in city beautification and landscaping projects.
• Compliance with CIDB grading requirements (5SH or higher).
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Submission of a current tax clearance certificate or SARS PIN.
• Certified municipal debt clearance certificate or business premises lease agreement.
• Completion and signing of prescribed MBD forms and compulsory documents.
• Ability to meet the technical and procedural criteria outlined in the tender documents.
• Understanding of BBBEE requirements and the ability to provide relevant certificates to claim points.
