BREEDE VALLEY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE QUINT STREET MIDBLOCK SEWER
REMOVAL
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 5CE or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who are registered with the CIDB, or are capable of being so prior to the evaluation of
submissions, in a Contractor grading designation equal to or higher than a Contractor grading designation determined in accordance
with the sum tendered for, or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25(1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry
Development Regulations, for a 5CE class of construction work, are eligible to have their tenders evaluated.

•Joint ventures are eligible to submit tenders provided that:
1)every member of the joint venture is registered with the CIDB;
2)the lead partner has a Contractor grading designation of not lower than one level below the required grading designation in the CE
class of construction work
3)the combined Contractor grading designation calculated in accordance with the Construction Industry Development Regulations is
equal to or higher than a Contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered for 5CE class of construction
work or an or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25(1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development
Regulations.
•Who complies with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Disease Act (COIDA) (proof (letter of good standing) to be
submitted with tender under Schedule 2J).

A non-refundable tender deposit of R230.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.

available upon request, free of charge, as the printing costs are for the bidder’s own account.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at SCM boardroom, Supply Chain Building, 51B
Baring Street, Worcester, GPS Co-ordinates: 33°38'37.23"S, 19°26'42.60"E. on 12 February 2026 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 11h00 on Friday, March 6, 2026.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
