Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable contractor to undertake Water and Sanitation Phase 03 at Khanyisa Secondary School in Dalton, within the eThekwini Region. The project aims to enhance water and sanitation infrastructure at the specified school, ensuring improved facilities and compliance with relevant standards.

Scope of Work

The scope includes the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of water and sanitation infrastructure at Khanyisa Secondary School. The project duration is six (06) months, and bidders are expected to fully familiarize themselves with the site conditions and logistics prior to submission.

Technical Requirements

• Contractor must possess a CIDB Grade of 4GB or higher.
• Completion of the project within the specified contract period of six months.
• Attendance at a compulsory pre-tender briefing meeting scheduled for 05 August 2026 at Khanyisa Secondary School.
• Adherence to the phased sequence of bid evaluation as outlined in the bid document.
• Compliance with mandatory requirements, including site visits and risk assessments.
• Provision of proof of ownership by Black People for specific goal points, such as original EME or QSE Sworn Affidavit.
• Submission of bid documents in accordance with the instructions, including original proof of payment if a hard copy is required.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Proven experience and capability to undertake water and sanitation infrastructure projects of similar scope.
• Possession of a CIDB grading of 4GB or higher.
• Ability to meet the project timeline of six months.
• Familiarity with site conditions and logistics, demonstrated through site visits.
• Capacity to comply with bid evaluation criteria, including the submission of necessary documents such as sworn affidavits and proof of ownership for specific goals.
• Technical proficiency to execute the scope of work as per project specifications and standards.
