Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to supply 2000 liters of 50ppm diesel for generators at the Department of Public Works Mayville office in eThekwini District.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of 2000 liters of low sulfur (50PPM) diesel grade.
• Delivery and filling of diesel into generators and bulk tanks at the specified department location.
• Provision of all necessary equipment for decanting diesel from transportation tanks to generator tanks, including hoses, pumps, and calibrated metering devices.
• Ensuring safe handling to prevent ignition or spillage, with responsibility for rectification of any damages caused during decanting.
• Submission of delivery notes with details of diesel type, delivery date, and receipt acknowledgment.

Technical Requirements

• Diesel must be of low sulfur grade (50PPM).
• Equipment used for decanting must be equipped with hoses, pumps, and calibrated metering devices, and must meet safety standards to prevent ignition and spillage.
• All equipment must be properly calibrated and set to zero before use.
• Delivery notes must include diesel grade, delivery date, and acknowledgment of receipt.
• The price must include diesel, transportation, decanting, and profits, with no escalation post-award.
