Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a multi-disciplinary team to provide professional services for the construction of new offices for the Motor Licensing Bureau in Newcastle, located within the Amajuba District of KwaZulu-Natal.

Scope

The scope of work includes the provision of comprehensive professional services necessary for the construction of the new Motor Licensing Bureau offices in Newcastle. This encompasses all phases from planning, design, and project management to completion of the new office facilities.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of a multi-disciplinary team capable of delivering professional construction services.
• Attendance at a compulsory pre-tender meeting scheduled for 30/04/2026 at 12:00 at the Department of Transport: Motor Licensing Bureau, Newcastle.
• Site visits to be arranged by bidders at their own cost to familiarize with logistics, site conditions, and access.
• Adherence to the bid evaluation criteria, including functionality and phased evaluation process.
• Compliance with the specified points system (80/20) for price and specific goal achievements.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in construction project management and professional services related to office building construction.
• Ability to demonstrate compliance with the functionality criteria listed in the bid document.
• Capability to provide documentary proof for specific goals such as promotion of enterprises in the Department of Public Works Midlands Region and ownership by Black People.
• Proficiency in site assessment and logistics planning.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and bid submission protocols, including registration on the Central Suppliers Database.
