Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to identify organisations and individuals capable of sharing innovative digital solutions, products, services, platforms, and methodologies that support the City of Cape Town's digital transformation efforts. The initiative aims to foster collaboration, showcase emerging technologies, and develop a future-ready workforce to enhance municipal operations and service delivery in line with the Long-Term Planning Framework (LTP 2050).

Scope

The scope includes:

• Researching and providing information on current and emerging digital technologies relevant to local government.
• Sharing insights, solutions, and case studies related to digital transformation, smart city initiatives, and innovative practices.
• Demonstrating how proposed solutions support the City’s objectives in service delivery, operational efficiency, and organisational effectiveness.
• Participating in presentations, workshops, or proof of concepts to validate proposed innovations.
• Providing references and experience related to digital projects within South Africa and internationally, especially in the public sector.

Technical Requirements

Respondents should:

• Provide detailed information about their organisation, innovation offerings, and expertise in emerging technologies such as AI, automation, cybersecurity, data analytics, and smart city solutions.
• Include supporting materials such as brochures, case studies, videos, or website links.
• Summarise proposed presentations, demonstrations, or workshops, including objectives, key topics, and technical requirements.
• Offer evidence of successful innovation projects and references from relevant clients or partners.
• Align their solutions with the objectives of the Digital Innovation Pitch Day and the City’s long-term vision.

Skills Requirements

The ideal respondents should possess:

• Strong expertise in digital transformation, emerging technologies, and innovation within the public sector or related fields.
• Experience in implementing or researching AI, automation, cybersecurity, data analytics, and smart city solutions.
• Ability to demonstrate successful innovation initiatives through case studies and references.
• Capability to deliver engaging presentations, workshops, or proof of concepts tailored to municipal stakeholders.
• Good understanding of the City of Cape Town’s strategic objectives and long-term planning framework.
